On or about May 18, 2021, Sabol was indicted in the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, of the following:
Count One – Distribution of Child Pornography in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 2252A(a)(2)(A) and 2252A(b)(1); and
Count Two – Possession of Child Pornography in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 2252A(a)(5)(B) and 2252A(b)(2).
Sabol's Order Setting Conditions of Release notes that he must participate in mental health counseling. He is precluded from associating with children under the age of 18, except in the company of a responsible adult who is fully aware of Sabol's background, and who has been approved by the U.S. Pretrial Services Office or supervising officer. Sabol is prohibited from places where minor children may congregate.
Because of the sexual nature of the underlying allegations and because of Respondent’s ability to provide physical therapy services to patients, including minors, the Board hereby concludes that Sabol's continuation in the practice of physical therapy constitutes an immediate danger to the public. |
| Penalty: |
Sabol’s license to practice physical therapy is hereby SUSPENDED pending resolution of disciplinary proceedings initiated by the Board against his license. Sabol is directed to surrender his license to the Board immediately.
A hearing has been set for July 12, 2021, beginning at 2:00 p.m., the Board will conduct an administrative hearing, via teleconference or in person, before a Hearing Examiner. |
